Aroma Specialty Coffees

Cristina Caroli and Alessandro Galtieri have run Aroma since long before specialty coffee was a term anyone in Italy used, sourcing single origins and blends from niche Italian micro roasteries rather than roasting in house. Galtieri backs that history up with real competition credentials, a two time Italian Brewers Cup champion who placed third at the 2019 World Brewers Cup in Boston.
The elegant, classically styled bar just off Piazza Malpighi pours everything from straight espresso to V60, Chemex, and AeroPress, alongside signatures like Caffè Zabaione, espresso worked into an egg cream, and a rotating seasonal cold brew currently built around elderflower, ginger, and lemon. It's widely credited as one of the first specialty coffee bars in the country.
