Lobita Atelier

The white storefront of Lobita Atelier with its open glass doors, the roaster visible at the back of the room and customers seated at small tables

Lobita Atelier is the roastery of Lobita, a Biarritz coffee business run by Manuel Carizza, a former professional rugby player from Argentina, and his wife Pilar Aleman. It sits in a white building on Allée de l'Aéropostale near the airport, where the roaster stands in view at the back of the room behind a wall of folding glass doors. The name means little she wolf, used as an affectionate nickname for someone close.

Beans roasted here are sold in bags online and through the Atelier, including the house blend The Party and rotating single origins, and the bar serves espresso, filter and cold brew. A small kitchen adds a brunch and lunch menu, with a sunny terrace outside. A second Lobita counter stands in the Halles market in town.
