Schroeter Kaffee

Globe pendant lights over terracotta booth seating and potted plants along the window at Schroeter Kaffee

Schroeter Kaffee runs as a family business in the Breitenrain quarter, built around specialty coffee and low waste thinking rather than a single signature drink. The stag beetle in the shop's logo nods to clean, healthy ecosystems and doubles as the historic emblem of the Schroeter family, a mindset that carries through to a bar built from upcycled plastic and spent coffee grounds.

Two Czech Republic roasters, The naughty dog and Candycane coffee, supply the bean rotation, poured alongside a breakfast menu built on locally sourced ingredients. Free wifi and laptop friendly tables make it as workable for a morning at a laptop as for a sit down breakfast, with outdoor seating and wheelchair access open all seven days of the week.
