RÖSTEREI Kaffee und Bar

The Bern family company Blaser Café AG has been roasting commercially for generations, and RÖSTEREI is its 2014 entry into the third wave, built right next to the company's own factory in the industrial edge of Holligen. The Terroir line, Blaser's specialty coffee arm, is roasted on site here rather than in the adjacent factory building, and a retail wall of Moccamaster and La Marzocco machines lets home brewers shop the same gear the cafe uses.

Up to six single origins run through Chemex, Kalita, V60, and syphon, and the shop also specializes in an authentic Turkish coffee that's rare to find done properly outside a dedicated Turkish cafe. A second, more central location shares space with Reinhard bakery near the train station for anyone who doesn't want to make the trip out to the factory district.
