Ojo de Café

Ojo de Café is a women owned roastery built entirely around Latin America, sourcing micro lots directly from Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, and Ecuador and roasting them in Bern. Graphic designer Debora and Cristian, who came to coffee from international sales and a background in political science and economics, built the operation around direct, fair, and transparent trade rather than working through importers.
Geisha, Caturra, Catuai, and Typica lots rotate through the shop's light roast profile, each one tuned to highlight the specific producer and terroir behind it rather than a fixed house style. The Moserstrasse space has hosted pop up collaborations with Nativa Wine, pairing the roastery's specialty coffee with natural wine on the same counter.
