Opened in 2013 by an Australian team, which shows in a brunch program that's at least as central to the shop's reputation as its coffee — the Antipodean brunch-cafe format that reshaped London's coffee scene a decade earlier arrived in Berlin's Friedrichshain by way of Silo, and the neighborhood took to it quickly. A suspended bicycle and loft-style fittings give the room a lived-in, slightly improvised feel rather than a designed one, fitting for a corner of Boxhagener Kiez that's spent the past twenty years shifting from rough post-reunification district to one of the city's most international, young neighborhoods.

Single-origin bagged beans are sold at the counter, sourced through partners like Fjord Coffee and Field Coffee rather than roasted in-house. Expect a wait on weekend mornings — this is a Boxhagener Kiez brunch institution first and a coffee shop second, though the coffee holds its own against the queue-worthy food. Yelp's amenities panel explicitly lists dogs as welcome, one of only three attributes the listing flags at all, which says something about how central it is to the shop's actual regulars.
