Oslo Kaffebar

The interior of Oslo Kaffebar with a rough timber counter, a Spirit espresso machine, pendant lamps, wood panelled walls and small tables under a concrete ceiling

Oslo Kaffebar mixes Berlin's raw concrete with the warmth of a Norwegian wooden weekend house, and the result is a room of rough timber counters, pendant lamps and a gleaming espresso machine under a bare concrete ceiling. It sits on a side street near Nordbahnhof, opposite a small park, with wooden tables out on the pavement.

The espresso and filter coffees are roasted in house, and home baked cookies and cakes sit alongside them. Vintage vinyl is as much a part of the place as the coffee is. The doors open every day, at eight on weekdays and at nine at weekends.
