Classic Specialty Coffee

The green timber front of Classic Specialty Coffee with a chalkboard menu, a chandelier glowing in the window and customers queuing at the serving hatch

Classic is a tiny specialty coffee shop on Falckensteinstraße in Kreuzberg, a green timber frontage with a chandelier glowing inside and a queue that forms at the serving window. A chalkboard lists espresso drinks and V60 handbrews, with single origin lots such as Panama Geisha, and the window itself explains what specialty coffee means.

Guests choose between a house blend and a single origin espresso, and beans go home in 250 gram bags. Stools and small tables outside take the overflow. The shop opens every day, at eight on weekdays and nine at weekends, and closes at seven.
