Cafelix Coffee Roasters

Cafelix started in Tel Aviv, where the founders were part of the small group pushing third wave coffee into Israel starting in 2013, before opening this Prenzlauer Berg roastery in 2019 and keeping both cities running side by side. Every bag on the shelf carries the variety, process, producer, and region, recent single origin releases have included a Cauca, Colombia Sidra with notes of caramel and tangerine and a Minas Gerais, Brazil Caturra grown by a community that shifted back to coffee after a history tied to illegal crops, the kind of specific sourcing detail that separates a real roastery from a shop just buying in bulk.
The shop states its focus bluntly on its own site, coffee is the main event and matcha is not on the menu, a small joke that doubles as a statement of intent. Light to medium roast profiles run across separate espresso and filter lines, and the minimalist deep blue counter and calm room draw regulars in for a filter coffee and a slice of homemade cake rather than a quick to go cup.
