Det Lille Kaffekompaniet

Hans Flø took over Det Lille Kaffekompaniet in 2012, keeping the cottage sized room tucked in a narrow alley behind the Fløibanen funicular much as it's looked since the shop first opened in 1996, making it the oldest coffee shop in Bergen. Vintage furniture and a lived in, almost southern European warmth fill a space small enough that Flø has called it one of a kind in the city.
Three small batch Norwegian coffees rotate through the counter, brewed mostly through V60 for a profile locals describe as juicy and elegant rather than the darker roasts more common around town. Cinnamon buns and other pastries sell out on busy days, pulling in a mix of regulars and visitors making their way up toward the funicular.
