Café Jetiboca

Rafael, his brother Fabio and their father Bruno opened Jetiboca inside the Mercado Novo in Centro in late 2018, built entirely around a single family farm, Rochedo Lourenco, in the Jetiboca locality of Orizania within the Matas de Minas region. The farm traces back four generations to Rafael's great grandfather Luis Lourenco de Lima, and is now managed day to day by Flauzino and Angelica Cruz.
Where the family once sold its entire harvest to middlemen and a cooperative, everything served here now comes straight from that one farm, roasted and poured from a small counter built out of reclaimed farm objects, vintage equipment and hand sewn lot tags, making Jetiboca the only stall inside the market with its own coffee production behind it.
