Voyage Coffee

The VOYAGE COFFEE wall lettering seen through the entrance, a silhouetted figure inside and a staircase leading up outside

Voyage Coffee's 798 outpost sits inside a quiet courtyard off Jiuxianqiao Road, a short walk from the galleries and studios that make up Beijing's best known contemporary art district. The space doubles as a small bicycle shop, with espresso equipment and bike parts sharing the same industrial room, floor to ceiling windows, and log furniture.

The menu runs from pour over and espresso to a black forest latte and a tiramisu, made in a kitchen visible from the counter. Voyage now operates several locations around Beijing, in Gulou and Dashilar among them, but the 798 room keeps the quietest pace, more studio than cafe, built for lingering over one slow cup.
