Onis Coffee

The cream building front of Onis Coffee with its white lettering across two windows, number 87 between them and customers waiting outside

Onis Coffee occupies a former shoe shop in the Dreta de l'Eixample, and rather than strip it back it kept the dark wood, vintage pictures, glass cabinets and an oversized chandelier. The high ceilings and classic fixtures make a warmer contrast to the pale, minimal look common in Barcelona's specialty cafés, and the door sits only a short walk from Passeig de Gràcia and its crowds.

The coffee comes mainly from Three Marks Coffee, the Fort Pienc roaster, with the occasional guest bean, and bags are on the shelf to take home. Seating is limited to a bar, a perch by the sunny window and a bench outside on fine days, so it works best as a quick, well made stop that still feels like a room worth lingering in.
