NØMAD Cøffee

Nomad started as a market stall in London, where its founder sold coffee to passersby long before thinking about roasting it. Learning to roast came next, then a move to Barcelona and the decision to build a proper roastery there instead. The project has since grown into three addresses across the city, this passage just off Carrer de la Princesa in El Born among them, tucked behind a doorway easy to miss unless someone points it out.

The brick and dark timber room runs a full roasting and retail operation alongside the espresso bar, bags of single origin lots lined up on open shelving under a hanging chandelier that has nothing to do with the industrial fittings around it. Nomad was one of the first specialty roasters in the city, part of Barcelona's early third wave scene a decade on.
