Dalston Coffee

Dalston Coffee takes its name from the East London neighbourhood where former chef Borja Roselló first tasted a flat white and realised coffee could be something quite different from what he had known. He swapped professional kitchens for specialty coffee and opened this Raval counter in 2017, a narrow room that is easy to miss on Carrer de les Ramelleres and small enough that most people order, chat briefly and carry on.
The beans are roasted at the brand's own roastery in La Garriga, just outside the city, on Mondays and Wednesdays in small batches, then poured here as espresso and filter and sold in bags to take home. The packaging is bright and friendly, with flavour notes that help newcomers find a coffee they will like, and there are a few outdoor tables for fine days.
