D·Origen Coffee Roasters

D·Origen began in 2012 with a first coffee shop in El Albir on the Costa Blanca, after its founder's family bought a coffee farm in Panama and he came back wanting to serve coffee with the story of its origin attached. The roastery is in Altea, and the Barcelona cafe sits on the ground floor of Casa Calvet, the Gaudí building on Carrer de Casp.

The bars, stools and lamps were 3D printed from recycled coffee grounds, and the room is high and bright, with a colourful coffee plant mural at the far end. Beans roasted by D·Origen are on the shelves by the bag, a no reservations policy keeps the counter moving, and dogs are welcome.
