Mother Roaster Songwat

Looking through Mother Roaster Songwat's front window past a pendant lamp and red lanterns to the street outside, with a small MR SONGWAT logo in the corner

Ploenpit Rianmek, known to regulars as Pa Pim, opened the first Mother Roaster in February 2019 from a two stool corner on Mahaphruttharam Road before the brand found wider fame above a mechanic's junkyard in Talat Noi.

White walls, exposed concrete floors and a low sofa up front give this Song Wat branch a calm, Scandinavian leaning feel, while the bar runs both local Thai and imported beans through hand drip and espresso. Signature drinks like the Dark Calamansi and Black Honey Lime sit alongside straightforward single origin filter coffee and a small dessert case, with delivery available through Line Man, Grab and Robinhood for anyone who cannot make the walk from Wat Mangkon MRT.
