Factory Coffee

Athip Archalerttrakool built Factory into one of the most decorated names in Thai coffee, a three time national barista champion who went on to place second at the World Espresso Championship in 2022 and has the shop ranked in the top three at the World Coffee Roasting Championship. This Phaya Thai room, right under the BTS station, draws a line out the door most mornings for filter coffee served the Japanese iced way alongside house blends, single origins, competition lots and the shop's own drip bags.

Thai grown beans from the north sit on the menu next to imported lots, with a cheaper Thai bean latte a regular order alongside signature creations like the Mr. Cold, Factory White and Moscow. The pace is fast and the seating turns over quickly, better suited to a focused cup and a pastry such as the salted egg yolk croissant than a long laptop session, and the queue out front most mornings has become part of the shop's reputation in its own right.
