Spokesman Coffee

Spokesman set up in a converted warehouse at The Yard on East St. Elmo Road, a small cluster of makers that also holds a brewery, a winery and a distillery. Coffee is roasted in house, and the bar pours it as espresso, filter and cold drinks alongside draft beer from local breweries, so the room works as a coffee shop by day and a bar in the evening.

The walls carry murals by Austin artists, the bar glows purple after dark and a shaded alley outside is lined with picnic tables. Open since 2017, the shop has since added cafes in Highland and Pflugerville. The South shop is open from seven to nine on weekdays and from eight to seven on weekends.
