Merit Coffee

Merit Coffee started in San Antonio and opened this Austin cafe in the Seaholm District, on the ground floor of a residential block just off the Lady Bird Lake trail. A wide glass frontage lets daylight into a room finished in warm wood and clean, minimal details, with a coffee counter along the back wall and shelves of bagged coffee behind it.

The menu runs from single origin coffees and pour overs to espresso drinks, cold brew and seasonal specials, with matcha, tea and pastries alongside. Merit describes the room as somewhere to work, study or meet a friend, with reliable wifi and plenty of seating. The cafe opens at half past six on weekdays, at seven on Saturdays and at seven on Sundays, closing at seven on weekdays and Saturdays and at six on Sundays.
