Malone Specialty Coffee Roastery and Cafe

Malone Specialty Coffee began at a kitchen table in 2013, when Paul Malone, tired of coffee that needed sugar and cream to be enjoyable, started roasting at home with his wife Donna. Bags sold to friends and farmers markets grew into coffee trailers across Austin, and in 2019 the Wells Branch roastery and cafe opened as the company's home base. Every batch is roasted here on a vintage Diedrich drum roaster, and beans are roasted to order so they reach customers at their freshest.

The North Austin cafe is a playful place, with a classic arcade cabinet in the corner, daily bagels from Rockstar Bagels, baked goods from a local partner and nitro cold brew on tap. Bags of the coffee are sold at the cafe and shipped nationwide. It is open every day from six in the morning until six in the evening.
