Flat Track Coffee

Sterling Roberts and Matthew Bolick ran Flat Track for years as a pop up before building a 150 square foot kiosk into the back of Farewell Books, then raised roughly $30,000 through Kickstarter to move into this East Cesar Chavez building. The shop shares a roof with bike shop Cycleast, a deliberate nod to the founders' passion for cycling and motorcycles, flat track racing being the actual namesake.

Flat Track roasts its own beans on site, describing itself as a leading Austin micro roaster rather than a shop pouring someone else's coffee. Oat milk cappuccinos and vegan, gluten free donuts round out a small, clean, work friendly room.
