Cuvée Coffee at The Code

Cuvée Coffee is one of Austin's founding specialty roasters, started by Mike McKim in 1998, and this is one of its two Austin cafes, set on the ground floor of The Code Hotel on South Lamar. The entrance sits behind a sweep of dark green glazed tile with a blue and cream Cuvée sign that lists coffee alongside wine, cocktails and beer.

The room works from first thing in the morning, when the coffee bar is the main draw, through the evening, when wine and cocktails join the menu and it stays open until ten from Thursday to Saturday. Cuvée describes the space as a place to meet friends or settle in for work, and customers can park in The Code's garage off Bluebonnet Lane, with validation available at the bar.
