Black Fox Coffee

The glass front of Black Fox Coffee with paper plane lamps, the fox logo, shelves of bagged coffee and a long counter behind seated guests

Black Fox Coffee opened at the base of ATX Tower in May 2026, the first cafe from the New York roaster outside its home city. Australians Daniel Murphy and Gary Hardwick started the brand in Manhattan in 2016 with a singular focus on café and coffee excellence, and the Austin shop serves the same house roasts alongside coffees from small producing communities around the world.

The room was designed by Austin studio Mitchell and Eades, and its warm, neighborhood feel is a contrast to the glass tower above it. A rare and exceptional coffee program offers pour overs of limited lots, brewed on single serve equipment, and the shop also sells ceramics from Hey Moon Ceramics. The cafe opens at seven on weekdays and at eight on weekends.
