Handpicked Coffee Roasters

Handpicked is a small roastery and café on New North Road in Mount Albert, run by Nara Lee and Han Sol Kim. Nara is a former New Zealand Brewers Cup champion who also placed second in the compulsory service round at the 2017 World Brewers Cup, and that precision runs through a compact room with seating both inside and out.

The beans are roasted in house, with a rotating lineup of single origins and a focus on filter coffee brewed for a clean, sweet cup that is easy to enjoy without milk. Flat whites are carefully made too, and a kitchen sends out food through the morning and lunchtime. Roasted beans, drip bags and brewing gear are also sold through the roastery's own online shop.
