Taproom Coffee

Taproom Coffee opened in Kirkwood in 2014 after Jonathan and Sarah Pascual raised the money for it on Kickstarter, and it has stayed a neighborhood anchor on Hosea L. Williams Drive ever since. The original idea was a coffee bar that also poured craft beer, and it still lives in a stone fronted storefront with a red awning and tables under umbrellas along the sidewalk.
Baristas are trained through the Specialty Coffee Association, and the shop features a guest roaster, currently Corvus Coffee Roasters of Denver, with some of those beans sold only in the shop. The calendar fills with community events, from clothing swaps to trade nights, and there is a coffee truck as well as the shop itself. It opens at six thirty on weekdays and half past seven on weekends, and closes at six.
