Condesa Coffee Old Fourth Ward

The weathered wood counter and yellow La Marzocco espresso machine behind it at Condesa Coffee in the Old Fourth Ward

Condesa Coffee began in the Old Fourth Ward, in the Tribute Lofts at the corner of Freedom Parkway and Boulevard, steps from the Jackson Street Bridge and the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park. A patio sits among the trees beside the Freedom Parkway bike trail, and inside a yellow La Marzocco anchors a counter faced in weathered grey wood, with local art on the walls and free wifi.

The beans are a small batch Condesa blend roasted in Atlanta, alongside single origin pour overs such as an Ethiopian or a Colombian with notes of toffee and fruit, and the syrups are made in house. Tea comes from Rishi and pastries arrive daily from a local bakery. The flagship opens at eight, closing at four on Monday and two the rest of the week, and a second shop has since opened in Grant Park.
