Apotheos Coffee Midtown

The pale yellow Apotheos Coffee lettering on the glass of the Midtown shop, with the counter, pastry case, menu screens and a high ceiling with hanging light strips glowing behind

Apotheos Coffee Midtown is the Atlanta counter of Apotheos Roastery, a family run roaster in Kennesaw whose name comes from apotheosis, the idea of raising something to its most divine form. The company set out to reinvent the Enlightenment era coffeehouse, and it roasts on a Diedrich CR35 in the former fellowship hall of a Methodist church whose building dates from 1902, the same facility where it produces cold brew.

The Midtown shop opened in the spring of 2023 on the ground floor of an office building at 740 West Peachtree Street, welcoming the public as well as the people who work upstairs. The beans it pours are roasted in Kennesaw, including an espresso blend the roaster calls bold, clean and sweet. It keeps weekday hours only, opening at seven and closing at four or five, and it is closed at the weekend.
