MOTIV

The long interior of MOTIV, terrazzo floor stretching past a spiral staircase to the espresso bar, with a neon MOTIV sign on the wall

MOTIV took over a space on Emmanouil Benaki that has cycled through Kudu Coffee Roasters and Mr. Bean before landing on its current name and identity, a short walk from TAF Coffee on the same Exarchia street. The shop imports coffee seasonally around each origin country's harvest rather than holding one lineup year round, and every retail bag carries a label colored to match its dominant tasting note, a system MOTIV built specifically for its own shelf.

Espresso, cappuccino, and drip sit alongside Chemex and V60 on the brew bar, with a second Pagrati location extending the same rotating single origin program across the city. The cinnamon bun draws as much repeat traffic as the espresso, though the coffee itself, scored above specialty grade before it ever reaches the grinder according to the shop's own site, is what keeps a steady stream of regulars coming back to this stretch of Exarchia.
