Nous (Haarlemmerplein)

Nous calls itself a neighborhood living room, and the original Haarlemmerplein shop plays the part, a clean, friendly corner space looking out at the Haarlemmerpoort. Specialty coffee, matcha and pastries sit at the heart of the menu, with good music playing and a calm pace that favours regulars and a quick chat over queues.

It closes mid afternoon from Monday to Friday and stays open until five at the weekend, and the same team runs a sister shop across the IJ in Amsterdam Noord.
