Brandmeesters

Brandmeesters moved to Maasstraat in November 2023 after three decades on Van Baerlestraat in the Museumkwartier, bringing its brandstore and espresso bar to the Rivierenbuurt. The shopfront is easy to spot under a black and white striped awning, with two long cushioned benches beneath the windows.

Inside you can taste the coffee, get brewing advice and buy beans, tea and equipment for home. The bar runs on a Modbar system, so you stand or sit with no barrier between you and the barista, and a separate room hosts weekly workshops and tastings. The beans are roasted in small batches at the company's own roastery outside the city.
