The Daily Brew

The Daily Brew opened on the ground floor of Aalborg's main library on October 1, 2025, exactly three years after Henrik Bruse left the sourdough bakery he had founded and, fittingly, on International Coffee Day. He built the shop with Majken Green, who runs the delicatessen a few doors down on Nørregade, and filled it with the superhero references that are his other great enthusiasm, down to a menu drawn like a 1960s comic strip.
Every cup, whether cappuccino, latte, or plain filter, costs the same flat 25 kroner, with a 50 kroner pot poured for anyone settling in with a study group, and a free syrup bar lets customers finish their own drink at the counter. Sourdough rolls with playful names sit alongside croissants and cake, and the room, gathered around library patrons, students, and parents with strollers, is built to hold people for the length of a chapter rather than a quick shot of espresso on the way out.
