Arnessted Kaffehus

Arnessted Kaffehus opened in December 2025 on Gravensgade, in a former clothing store that Ane Stoltze Katborg and Ulrik Falentin Sund gutted and refitted themselves, filling it with auction furniture and pieces upcycled by family members. Ane spent years building cafes in Aarhus, including what was once Scandinavia's largest cafe, while Ulrik brings a psychologist's eye for how a room should feel; the name plays on arnested, the Danish word for a hearth or gathering place.

Coffee comes from Holy Bean on Funen, with nine single origin beans rotating through the espresso and filter menu and sold retail by the bag for anyone who wants to keep brewing at home. Breakfast plates and porridge bowls run until noon, panini take over after that, and the monkeybread and croissants sit out front all day; dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, and a puzzle on one of the inside tables gives younger visitors something to do while the coffee brews.
